Last night's game was SNOWED out ... snow. SNOW! Can anyone tell my why it is still snowing in April, the first of the month, ok I accept that as a possibility but we are 1/2 way through the month. Ok enough of my diatribe on snow. Sam was mortally disappointed that his game was cancelled and he could not fathom why on earth they could not play in the snow. He kept telling me that it was fine, he likes snow. Anyway the only way to appease him was to head over to the movie store and grab a couple of films. Secret of NIMN, I haven't seen that movie in forever. Alas his uncle Kipp was supposed to come to the game last night and they leave in a week so hopefully (cross you fingers) it does not snow or rain next game because it is Kipp and Kumi's last chance.
So ... here are some pictures of Sam's Saturday game (a few days before the SNOW came it was perhaps 80 degrees - oh the torment of Spring, taunting and teasing with warm and then ... snow.)
Coach Casey is giving the kids a pep talk before the 2nd half starts. They were pretty worn out as they play four on four and we only had four players.

I read it in a book
So I can't remember what Sam was telling me but I do remember when I asked him where he had heard about it, he looked at me like I was completely silly and said, "I read it in a book." Then he added, "a very big book." HA! So all that reading has paid off. I can't wait for him to actually be able to read. He is going to have so much fun discovering all sorts of things. Where does he come up with this stuff. He contantly makes me laugh and the sad part is half the time I don't remember why I was laughing I just know it is funny. What a lucky mom I am...

Don't let the Bed Bugs Bite
So we have watched Wallace and Gromit, I don't know, a million times and last night he was watching and hears that phrase, "don't let the bed bugs bite" and he asks me what it means. So I tell him. The kid isn't afraid of the dark, or heights, or snakes, or Voldemort but he is now terrified of bed bugs. Poor kid. He had to sleep on top of his sheets because he was too scared that he would get attacked by bed bugs. So I told him that I put a spell on our house so the bed bugs would explode if they tried to come in he thought that was funny he thinks that if you hear a toot then it is a bed bug exploding. What a crack up.
